Soccer Sprouts is in search of enthusiastic fun-loving individuals to share their talents with the children in our program. Soccer Sprouts is a soccer skill development program for players ages 3-10 yrs old. The lead coach will run our Sprouts through a series of games and activities that help promote a child’s physical and social growth as well as teach them the game of soccer. Our assistant coaches help the lead coaches run sessions, set up and break down equipment, and help reign in any Sprouts who need a little more “one on one” attention.

Soccer Sprout coaches are:

  • Outgoing, enthusiastic and love working with children!!!

  • Willing to learn and have good communication skills - being ‘loud’ and energetic is a PLUS as it helps keep the players focused and engaged

  • Self motivated and have the desire to make a difference in the lives of children

  • Reliable, dependable, and have consistent attendance. Consistency is key in success when working with children

  • Flexible – Soccer Sprouts coaches know how to adjust on the fly when working with young children as sometimes a PLAN B and C are needed!

Part time hours – must commit to at least one night of soccer per week for entire season (some absences are expected with notice or emergencies). BONUS: If you have consistent availability in the mornings, this can lead to running new day care programs with incentives. 

  • $30/practice for lead coaches, $10/practice for assistants (for the first 6 seasons, raise after 1 year in the program)

  • Staffing placement based on qualifications/licensing, experience (soccer or with kids), etc.

  • Curriculum and equipment is provided

  • Coaching shirt is provided, other gear provided as made available

  • Previous experience working with children preferred but not required - teachers make GREAT coaches!

  • Coaches are not required to have extensive soccer knowledge – professional training will be provided

And the best part??…. Coaches’ children play for FREE as long as their parent is coaching in the program.
